![]() ![]() ![]() In Tabletop Mode, the Nintendo Switch console can be stood up on a built-in kickstand, and one or more users can use the Joy-Con controllers to play both single-player and multiplayer games in this mode. The Joy-Con also be attached to either side of the Switch console itself to take the Switch out of its dock and on the go in Handheld Mode. The Joy-Con can either be used with the in one piece with the Grip or Charging Grip or held one in each hand a la the Wii Remote and Nunchuk when playing in TV Mode or Tabletop Mode respectively. ![]() It includes a USB charge port and charges the attached Joy-Con. A Joy-Con Charging Grip is also available. Included straps are black, though select color versions (for the early neon colors and gray) were also made available, but sold separately.Įach Switch console will come with both the Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, which can be used in conjunction with the included Joy-Con Grip to form a more traditional controller system - with a space in the middle. Wrist straps, included with the Nintendo Switch console, make the SL and SR buttons located on the attachment rails of Joy-Con controllers more prominent.Later releases included Special Edition Joy-Con with printed elements and multi-color cases.Joy-Con controllers are available in different colors, initially released in the standard Grey, Neon Red, and Neon Blue pairings.It can tell the difference between rock, paper and scissors, measure your pulse, and it can tell how far away the hand is. The Joy-Con (R) has a motion-IR camera that senses shape, motion and distance of objects in front of it.It can simulate multiple objects inside that can be distinctly sensed when shaking the controller. An "HD Rumble" system built into the Joy-Con controllers can emulate certain sensations, such as shaking a glass full of ice, or filling that glass with water. ![]()
